Vita

Patrick Jochem studied Economics at the universities of Bayreuth, Mannheim and Heidelberg.
His Ph.D. in Transport Economics (2009) at the Universität Karlsruhe (TH) was funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU).
Between 2009 and 2019 he has been head of the research group “Transport and Energy” at the Institute of Industrial Production (IIP) and French-German Institute of Environmental Research (DFIU).
Between 2012 and 2019 he was a senior researcher at the Karlsruhe Service Research Institute (KSRI), where he founded the interdisciplinary research group (e)Mobility.
During summer 2015 he was a visiting professor at the University of Waterloo, Canada.
From 2015 until 2018 he was assistant lecturer at the University of Koblenz-Landau.
In 2016 he completed his habilitation on "Electric Mobility and Energy Systems" at the KIT.
Since 2016 he is a associate editor for Elsevier’s Transport Research Part D.
