Vita

  • Patrick Jochem studied Economics at the universities of Bayreuth, Mannheim and Heidelberg.
  • His Ph.D. in Transport Economics (2009) at the Universität Karlsruhe (TH) was funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU).
  • Between 2009 and 2019 he has been head of the research group “Transport and Energy” at the Institute of Industrial Production (IIP) and French-German Institute of Environmental Research (DFIU).
  • Between 2012 and 2019 he was a senior researcher at the Karlsruhe Service Research Institute (KSRI), where he founded the interdisciplinary research group (e)Mobility.
  • During summer 2015 he was a visiting professor at the University of Waterloo, Canada.
  • From 2015 until 2018 he was assistant lecturer at the University of Koblenz-Landau.
  • In 2016 he completed his habilitation on "Electric Mobility and Energy Systems" at the KIT.
  • Since 2016 he is a associate editor for Elsevier’s Transport Research Part D.
